History of JWH Group

In 1983 Julian Walter founded J-Corp Pty Ltd as Managing Director and Chairman. Over the next twenty years J-Corp Pty Ltd grew into a diversified housing group with an annual turnover of $275 million, 19 separate operating divisions and evolved into one of Western Australia’s largest three housing groups.

In 2003 an opportunity arose to review future direction and as a result, JWH Group Pty Ltd was formed, based on the coming together of premium brands such as Oswald Homes, the Rural Building Company and the W.A. Country Builders network. The executive group that had led J-Corp Pty Ltd for almost its entire existence and staff at Oswald Homes, the Rural Building Company and W.A Country Builders joined to form the new group.

Over the last few years In-Vogue, Metro Style and Residential Attitudes have been established to round out the offering to the West Australian housing market. A more recent acquisition in 2006 was Plunkett Homes, Perth’s most established home builder, founded in 1903. Subsidiary companies also include Constructive Media and Ceiling Force.
