The Rural Building Company - Perth was established in 1997 in its own right. The concept was started in the early 90īs for JWH Group's country operations to provide an alternative product in response to market research that showed a number of home buyers were seeking a non urban style of housing.
The homes are designed differently and feature materials such as rustic bush poles, rammed earth, limestone blocks, weatherboard and Colorbond and more recently blending strong architectural concepts in steel, glass, renders and cladding. In this short time Rural Building Company has won a number of Housing awards, including the southwest Golden Key 3 years in a row and the Western Australian display home of the year in 2002.
