WA Country Builders commenced building in Bunbury in 1989, after researching the region and listening to the requests of people to increase their housing choice. It was decided to make Bunbury the first regional office from which to expand our ability to service country communities.
Managing director, Julian Walter was concerned that WA Country Builders should not be a city type operation that moves into the country and has no regard for the community in which they do business. It had to be an organisation that would take the good parts of a city operation such as choice, systems and technology and marry those back with a very much country culture. It was very important also to focus on putting back into the community what was spent from the region and so the philosophy came into being which is reflected in the mission statement.
That philosophy has been very solidly proven, and WA Country Builders acceptance and position within the business environment and community echoes their success. WA Country Builders is now Western Australia's largest country builder with offices in Geraldton Albany, Busselton, Northam and Bunbury, servicing the community from as far away as Kalbarri to Mount Many Peaks east of Albany.
